Wildish Women at Refuge
An afternoon of sisterhood and stortytelling
Calling all Wild and Wildish Women to Refuge! Come consort with other marvelous mavens, bold badasses and unfettered females for a gathering seeped in ritual and community.
Wildish Women at Refuge is a monthly women’s circle for cis women, trans women, and non-binary individuals who seek to connect to the divine feminine through exploration of the wild woman archetype. The circle meets at Refuge Event Space (1813 5th Ave, Troy NY) for tea and conversation from 1 to 3 pm on the first Sunday of the month (unless it is a holiday weekend).
This unbridled gathering is for wild women with a story to share. Refuge Chatelaine, Tara Rainstrom will guide the circle in conversation inspired by the stories in Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. WiIdish Women is a practice in storytelling, being witnessed, boldly being, shining our lights on the world, bonding through shared experiences, and sisterhood. When one of us rises, we all rise.
In Women Who Run With the Wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estés describes the wild nature: “It means to establish territory, to find one’s pack, to be in one’s body with certainty and pride regardless of the body’s gifts and limitations, to speak and act in one’s behalf, to be aware, alert, to draw on the innate feminine powers of intuition and sensing, to come into one’s cycles, to find what one belongs to, to rise with dignity, to retain as much consciousness as we can.”
Come meet, eat, and be wild.
