Yoga & Movement for Action

Move, breathe, play, share and connect with likemindeds to gain new skills and motivation to help our world.

Are you stressed and overwhelmed about what's happening in our country and the world today? Want to help, get involved, but perhaps you feel overwhelmed? Or seek to do so in collaboration with others? Or can use support to get started? Join us in person as we learn how to better support ourselves and each other to take action to help our world.

Yoga means union. These classes are about community, connection and finding more strength together to move forward in a manner that honors oursevles as well as equity, inclusion and kindness.

Expect music, movement, yogic and body-based meditations, laughter, shared stories and deep dives into our inner parts, the ones that move us forward to act in alignment, and those that hold us back.

We will study the yamas and niyamas, contemplating our ethical, evolutionary engagment with ourselves and the world, paired with practices that cultivate playfulness and creativity.

Please bring a journal, wear comfortable clothes and a layer for warmth. This is a four week series of Tuesdays that is open for drop in: March 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th. Suggested donation is $15 per adult, per class. All proceeds from the classes after cost are being donated to World Food Kitchen and Regional Foodbank of Northeastern NY.
